The Supreme Court has refused to hear on Friday the petition of private schools of Uttar Pradesh not to collect monthly fees . However, the apex court has allowed the petitioners that they can again file a petition in the Allahabad High Court in this case. On Friday, a bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar, Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, Justice Sanjeev Khanna heard the case.

SC refuses to hear plea for not taking monthly fees in private schools in UP

Please tell that a petition was filed to issue a mandate to the Yogi government for not collecting fees from private schools in UP. However, the Allahabad High Court has dismissed this petition. The petitioner then challenged the High Court's decision in the Supreme Court. The petitioner had argued that all the schools are closed during the Corona period, holidays are going on in schools. In such a situation, the government should waive school fees by issuing orders from the government.

Rejecting this petition, the Allahabad High Court had said that despite the closure of the schools, most of the schools are running online classes. Children are being taught through video and other mediums, in such a situation it cannot be said that there are holidays in schools.

Explain that earlier in June, the Parents Association of eight states has filed an application in the matter of charging fees by private schools. In the petition, the Supreme Court had been requested to create regulation and order to curb this arbitrariness. It was said in the petition that schools are charging full fees in the name of online class, which is absolutely wrong. It was also said that many schools are also charging extra fees for online classes.
